What is HD TV

HDTV is an acronym for the original English term High-Definition Television , whose translation into Portuguese is the same as digital TV data transmission system , and the screen resolution on the devices is high compared to the technology of the formats that precede it, such as PAL, SECAM or NTSC.
It can be said that the transmission signal of the devices developed with the HDTV system is digital. For the time being, its implementation somewhat coincides with the introduction of the so-called DTV or digital television, which originated in the United States around the 1990s.
HDTV technology is different from full HD ( Full High Definition ), whose meaning in Portuguese is “total high definition”. One of the main differences between the two technologies concerns the resolution. In HDTV sets, there is a resolution of 720 progressive lines (or 1280 x 720 p), while in Full HD sets the resolution reaches higher numbers, that is, 1080 interlaced lines (or 1920 x 1080 i) or 1080 progressive lines (1920x1080p).
When letters are inserted after the resolution numbering, it is to indicate the alternating update of the lines. Thus, the letter “i” indicates that the update occurs simultaneously between the lines, while the letter “p” indicates that the image has a higher quality.
HDTV Ready
These are devices that cannot transmit images in high definition. To properly receive the signals it is necessary to use an HDTV receiver or an HDTV device called a set top box.
Other solutions are as follows: hdtv adapter, hdtv online (online channels), hdtv antenna (which can only be attached to the device) and hdtv android (which is available as a device or application). It is speculated that in the future videos may be created in high definition.
